FosterConnect SMS Messaging Consent
What messages you may receive
If you choose to enable text message verification for your FosterConnect account, you will receive one-time security codes by text message when you log in. These are authentication codes only — FosterConnect does not send marketing messages by text.
Changing your preference
You can switch between text message verification and the authenticator app at any time from Account Settings → Security. Switching your method will sign you out of all active sessions for your security.
How to stop receiving messages
Switch to authenticator app verification in your account security settings at any time, or
Reply STOP to any text message from FosterConnect to immediately stop all messages

Message frequency
You will only receive a text message when you log in and a verification code is required. Message frequency depends on your login activity.

How we obtain your consent
Text message verification is an optional feature. During account setup, you are presented with two options for securing your account:
Authenticator app (recommended) — generates a verification code using an app on your device. More secure and works without cell service.
Text message — sends a one-time code to your mobile number.
The authenticator app is the recommended option and is presented first. You must actively choose text message verification — it is never selected by default.
If you choose text message verification, you will see the following before confirming:
"By selecting text message verification, you agree to receive one-time security codes from FosterConnect at the number provided. Message and data rates may apply. You can switch to an authenticator app at any time in your account security settings."
You must tap Continue to confirm. No messages are sent until you confirm.
